    NORMAL VERSION
Our teacher told us one day he would leave the school
and sail across a warm blue sea
To places he had only know from maps,
And all his life had longed to be

The has he lived in was narrow and grey
But in his minds eye he could see
Sweet-scented jasmine clambering up the walls,
And green leaves burning on the tree.

He spoke of lands he longed to visit,
Where it was never drab or cold.
And I couldn’t understand why he never left,
And shook off our school’s stranglehold.

  2. thaih says:

    MY OWN VERSION.

Our teacher told us one day she would leave the school
and sail across a lava hot sea
    to reach an exotic island,
sun bathing under a palm tree.

Like a bird trapped in a cage
    daydreaming she could escape
    chilling on the golden sand
imagining eating a ripe green grape.

Longing to visit this amazing land
waiting for a house to be sold
but I couldn’t understand why she never left
and shook off our schools stranglehold.

and places he had only known from maps
and sit under a razor palm tree
The house he lived in was narrow and grey
but in his minds eye he could see a beach house
    with palm trees.

Our teacher told us one day he would the school
And sail across a warm blue sea
To places he had only known from maps,
And all his life had longed to be. The flat he grew in was old and dusty
But in his mind’s eye he could see
Aromatic fresh roses clambering up houses
And fresh leaves on a Promegranet tree.
He babbled of the countries he longed to visit,
Where it never was drab or cold.
And couldn’t understand why he never left,
And shook off our school’s stranglehold.

    And this is my poem.
Daydreaming, our teacher told us he would leave the school
And get a luxurious private jet
and fly elsewhere in the world on his own
whilst flying he would think about the superstars he had met

Trapped in his house, he felt gloomy and dull like a bird trapped in a zoo.
He dreamed of lying in the sea drinking coconut juice
In the wonderful land of Jamaca
    whilst eating chocolate moose

Our teacher always spoke of the lands he longed to visit
and the story was always told
Strangely, I couldn’t understand why he never left
and shook off our schools stranglehold.

Our teacher told us one day she would leave the school
Beautifully, painting the romantic Eiffel Tower
It would be outstanding and colourful
Fluently using her brush with her particular power

The house she lived in was narrow and grey
In her minds eye she could see
Strolling Parisians gliding through the night
Shining lights reflecting on the River Sane, beautifully

She spoke of the lands she longed to visit
Where she wanted her name in bold
And I couldn’t understand why she never left,
Quickly shaking off our school’s strangle-hold

Our teacher told us one day she would leave the school and
sunbath on a hot sandy, yellow island and fish in the warm blue
sea for thee exiting. She had lots of maps on the walls and thought
the impossible but I did two.

The house she lived in was narrow and grey but in her mind she
could see sweet coconuts clambering in from the perfect beach,
as the scorching hot palm trees got burnt by the sun.she also
said if she ever went to a desert island she would still teach.
