Have a go at one of these experiments if you can, and write about it on the blog:

Can’t remember how to write up an experiment?
Here’s a reminder:
- Equipment – What did you use?
- Method – What did you do?
- Predicition – What did you think would happen?
- Results – What actually happened?
- Conclusion – Can you explain why it happened?
Making a vinegar volcano
When the baking soda goes with the vinegar it makes a carbonic acid then it breaks apart into water and carbon dioxide.Which makes the fizzes to escape.
Making music with cups
Each of the glasses have a different tune the one with the least water will make vibration the one with the most water will make a least vibration with the pencil or stick.
Well done Ben!
Hi Mrs Holland
I tried the second experiment.
Equipment :
5 or 6 same glasses
Water
1 or 2 wooden spoons
Method:
First I poured different amounts of water into the 5 glasses (least amount to the most)
Next I lined up all the glasses in one row.
Then I got the wooden spoon and turned them around so I could use them to bang on the glasses.
After I hit the Spoon on the first one then on the last one.
Prediction:
I predict that the one with the most water would make the highest sound because when you hit the glass there was a bit of space so then the sound quickly comes out and spreads and the one with least will take longer for the sound to come out.
Results:
The actual thing that happened was that the one with the least water did make the highest sound.
Conclusion:
This Happened because vibrations were made and the more vibrations the higher sound.
Great write-up Ayesha!
